If you haven’t had a date in a while and think it’s probably time to jump off a bridge…STOP! Everyone goes through dating dry spells and bad patches when you think the opposite sex has lost all interest in you. But you do you break away from it and start dating again?

  1. Love Yourself

I’ll try not to sound like a self-help book but before we get anyone else to fall in love with us, we have to love ourselves. By this I mean you have to love yourself enough to know that there’s nothing wrong with you if you’re still single and you will ultimately find the perfect someone. Positive thinking and positive actions can make big changes so let go of all that negativity.

  1. Tell Your Friends

Get your friends involved and let them know you’re ready for a date. Don’t get annoyed when they try to set up a date but welcome it and let them help you. So many couples have been introduced through common friends and gone on to fall in love.

  1. Reinvent Yourself

If you’re stuck in a routine, doing the same things and meeting the same people all the time then you need to do stuff that challenges you. Do things you haven’t done before and step out of your comfort zone to feel the excitement in your life again. Your enthusiasm and vibrancy will not only make you happier but will make you more attractive and interesting to others.

  1. Go Out More

Yes it’s true. You can’t just sit at home and expect Santa to make a special “perfect date” delivery for you. Go out more and meet new people whether that means hitting the clubs or even just going to the gym. Go to places where you’re likely to meet lots of people.

  1. Join a Dating Site

Online dating is a really great way for you to meet new people. There are heaps of dating sites you can choose from, depending on who you’re interested in meeting. So for example, if you’re looking for Aussie singles, you’d join AussieCupid.com.au. You can choose from heaps of different profiles and interact only with the ones you have a slight interest in.

If you’re already a member of a dating site, when was the last time you updated your profile? Change things around a little bit, add a couple of new photos – a little spring cleaning never hurt anyone!

So it’s really okay to go through a dry spell. Make a few changes in your life and definitely go on dates. Everyone might not be soulmate material but at least you’ll be having fun on dates till you find Mr. or Ms. Perfect.
