Aussie Men Spend More Than Women

A recent survey has found that young Australian men are racking up debt much faster than the ladies.

Debt collection agency, Dun and Bradstreet surveyed the debt statistics for the September quarter and found the average value of debt for men to be more than $1300; which is an amazing 28 per cent higher than their female counterparts! Most of these men are less than 34 years old.

Apparently, this isn’t a brand new trend and for the last few years, the men have been consistently leading when it comes to indebtedness. The only good news however, seems to be that in the last few months their average debt has decreased by about 1.2 per cent. But they’re still behind on the ladies who reduced their indebtedness by 3.8 per cent during the same time!

Hmmm…and they always blame the ladies for their shopping sprees and mindless spending! Boys, if you want to win this race, it looks like you’re gonna have to buckle up and get those debts in order.
